Jewelry Size Guide
Jewelry Size Guide
Use this guide to find the best fit for your Sowell Jewelry. Because individual designs may fit differently, always check the measurements listed on the product page before ordering.
Rings
Most Sowell rings are adjustable and fit approximately US sizes 6–8 unless otherwise stated in the product description.
To adjust an open ring, apply gentle, even pressure to the lower sides of the band. Avoid pressing directly on the stone or decorative setting. For the best durability, adjust the ring to your preferred size and avoid repeatedly opening and closing it.
Measure an Existing Ring
Choose a ring that already fits the intended finger and measure straight across the inside of the ring at its widest point. Do not include the metal band in the measurement. Compare the inside diameter with the chart below.
Measure Your Finger
- Wrap a narrow strip of paper or non-stretching string around the base of your finger.
- Mark where the ends meet.
- Measure the marked length in millimeters.
- Compare that measurement with the finger-circumference column below.
| US ring size | Inside diameter | Finger circumference |
|---|---|---|
| 5 | 15.7 mm | 49.3 mm |
| 6 | 16.5 mm | 51.9 mm |
| 7 | 17.3 mm | 54.4 mm |
| 8 | 18.1 mm | 57.0 mm |
| 9 | 19.0 mm | 59.5 mm |
| 10 | 19.8 mm | 62.1 mm |
Measure two or three times for accuracy. Fingers can change slightly with temperature and time of day, so measuring near the end of the day usually gives the most comfortable result. If you are between sizes, choose the larger size.
Cuff Bracelets
Most Sowell cuff bracelets are slightly adjustable and fit wrists approximately 6–8 inches in circumference unless otherwise noted.
To measure your wrist, wrap a flexible measuring tape snugly around the area where you normally wear a bracelet. If you do not have a measuring tape, use a strip of paper and measure it against a ruler.
To put on a cuff, slide the opening over the narrowest side of your wrist and gently rotate it into position. Apply light, even pressure to the sides if a small adjustment is needed. Avoid repeatedly pulling the cuff open and closed, as excessive bending can weaken the metal.
Necklace Lengths
Necklace placement varies depending on your neck size, height, neckline and pendant size. The guide below shows approximate placement.
| Chain length | Approximate placement |
|---|---|
| 14 inches | Choker or close to the base of the neck |
| 16 inches | Around the base of the neck |
| 18 inches | Near the collarbone |
| 20 inches | Just below the collarbone |
| 22–24 inches | Upper chest |
Pendant measurements are generally listed separately from the chain length on each product page.
For the most accurate result, measure a necklace you already own or place a piece of string around your neck at the desired length and measure the string.
Anklets
Measure around the part of your ankle where you would like the anklet to sit. Add approximately ¼–½ inch for a comfortable fit, depending on whether you prefer a closer or looser style.
Always compare your measurement with the length and extender information provided on the individual product page.
Earrings and Pendants
Earring and pendant dimensions are listed on individual product pages in millimeters or inches. These measurements help show the actual product scale, so review them before ordering—especially when choosing between delicate and statement styles.
